AWF are in favour of renewable energy, but oppose
inappropriately sited wind farms or too many wind farms in one area. AWF
believes wind farm development should be restricted to
appropriate locations.

Focusing
primarily on Kintyre, Mid-Argyll and West Cowal, AWF monitor all wind
farm planning applications in Argyll.

AWF
are prepared to engage with developers, using our local
knowledge, to improve the design of well sited schemes.
However, AWF will oppose insensitively sited wind farms.
